Coconut coal is a fuel that is often used for burning food or can be used as a room heater. Users of coconut coal are usually used conventionally as a food burner such as sate, corn, and others. Outside the country, coconut coal is used as a room heater other than a tool for burning. However, the coal used has previously been processed into bricks that have economic value and advantages in producing hot calories. Therefore, the Service Team aims to introduce and support the community to transform coconut coal into briket coal. This activity is conducted experimentally or practically directly in the manufacture of labeled coal. Participants in this activity consist of communities that work as collectors or distributors of coconut coal in the Batipuh Longjang area, Koto Tangah, Town square. The team managed to make bricks from biomass garbage. These bricks can be sold to consumers on a household, industrial scale, and according to their initial purpose, namely PLTU, for large-scale marketing.
