Implementasi Penataan Penyimpanan Obat di Instalasi Farmasi RSUD Pariaman

Abstract

It is very important to pay attention to the spatial arrangement of the Pharmaceutical Installation warehouse, in order to facilitate the storage, arrangement, search and supervision of pharmaceutical supplies. The storage method at the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Pariaman is still not very effective, resulting in inefficient and ineffective drug storage processes. This creates difficulties for staff in retrieving items/drugs from the pharmacy warehouse. Therefore, the implementation of drug storage arrangement in the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Pariaman is required. This implementation follows three stages: situational analysis, planning, and execution. Furthermore, the implementation activities consist of three steps: box arrangement, labeling, and periodic recording and adjustment of records. The storage method complies with the standards set by Permenkes No. 58 of 2014, which categorizes items based on therapeutic class, dosage form, and type of pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, and disposable medical items. These are organized alphabetically, following the principles of FEFO (First Expired First Out) and FIFO (First In First Out), alongside a management information system. To prevent retrieval errors, pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, and disposable medical items with similar appearances and names (LASA - Look Alike Sound Alike) are not placed together and must be clearly labeled. Going forward, RSUD Pariaman needs to update their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and improve compliance with these procedures to ensure effective and efficient drug storage in the pharmacy warehouse.
