Abstract

Article 28G paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution states that “every person has the right to protection of their personal self, family, honor, dignity, and property under their control, as well as the right to security and protection from fear in doing or not doing something that constitutes a human right.” In relation to property under one’s control, people commonly safeguard it by saving in banks. As financial institutions grounded in the principle of economic democracy, banks serve a central role as collectors and distributors of public funds. This role places the banking sector in a strategic position to support the implementation of national development, with the aim of fostering equitable distribution of development outcomes, promoting economic growth, and maintaining national stability, thereby contributing to the improvement of the people’s standard of living.
